Sunderland lost 4-2 to Liverpool in Nashville on Saturday night, but there were positives for Régis Le Bris and his side.

Sunderland Echo notes that Le Bris again used 22 players across the two halves, with a more experienced XI drawing the first period 1-1.

After the break Liverpool took control against a youthful Sunderland team to close out the win. Timur Tutierov also found the net for the Black Cats.

Goalkeeper Melker Ellborg had little chance with the finishes, dealt with the press in possession and made a good stop before being replaced, rated 6.
