Kalvin Phillips has this evening joined Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season.
Phillips arrived at City in July 2022 from Leeds United, having played for the Elland Road outfit over eight seasons.
The central midfielder made 21 appearances for City in that debut campaign as Pep Guardiola’s men secured the Treble.
The following season, he played 10 times in the sky blue before joining West Ham United in January 2024 on loan for the remainder of that campaign.
It was another move away from the Etihad at the start of the next term as he agreed to join newly-promoted Ipswich Town for the 2024/25 season.
After returning to the Blues at the start of this term, he came on in our 2-0 third round League Cup success at Huddersfield Town at the Accu Stadium but has now agreed to link up with the Blades for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
To date, the 30-year-old has made 32 appearances for the Blues and scored one goal, a penalty in the 3-2 group stage victory over Red Star Belgrade in the Serbian capital in the Champions League campaign of 2023/24.
Everyone at Manchester City wishes Kalvin the very best of luck during his time at Bramall Lane.
