Photo: Former Real Madrid star joins José Mourinho’s staff for first time

Ex-Real Madrid star Sami Khedira was on Friday spotted back at the club’s training base to take up his role as a coach for the first time.
This comes after incoming Blancos boss José Mourinho sought out the German to join his staff for the campaign ahead.
Khedira of course spent some of the finest years of his stellar career plying his trade in the colours of Real Madrid. All told, between 2010 and 2015, the midfielder racked up over 150 appearances in the club’s famed white.
Overseeing three of these seasons was none other than José Mourinho, for whom Khedira established himself as an important player.
The now-39-year-old’s commitment and professionalism proved enough to convince ‘Mou’ to reach out to Khedira this summer, over a reunion in Spain’s capital.
And as alluded to above, after the latter gave the go-ahead, he was today spotted back in the thick of things at Valdebebas for the first time:
