Today’s photo of the day dates all the way back to the summer of 2001, when Celtic away kits were simple in design. There was no camouflage, unorthodox patterns or fashion attempts made back then. It was just traditional, ordinary kits – or as the Green Brigade once said “a uniform so simple in its style”.

Umbro made some phenomenal and popular Celtic kits in the late 1990s to early 2000s. The black magic kit, iconic hooped jerseys, the original bumble bee and others spring to mind.
