Uruguay faced England in London on Friday in a World Cup warm-up. Palmeiras full-back Joaquin Piquerez started but went off injured after 10 minutes.

He twisted his right ankle in a move with Madueke and was replaced. The club said in a Friday night statement that he suffered a right-ankle sprain and will be re-evaluated in the coming days after returning to Brazil.
