David Pizarro returned to talk about Roma, the club that shaped his career, during the New York leg of the EA7 World Legends Padel Tour, an event that brought together some of the biggest names in international sport.
The former Chilean midfielder, a key figure on the padel court, took the opportunity to discuss the Giallorossi’s performance and the sporting project launched in recent months.
“I’m very attached to Roma because of what I experienced, how much I played there, how many important moments we experienced, how much we entertained our fans. But in my opinion, bad luck didn’t give us the Scudetto that that group perhaps deserved.”
“First place? We hope to hold on, to stay in touch as much as possible because then we have confidence in the January transfer market.”
“I think Gasperini and the team are doing an important job. That’s why I say let’s hope Roma stays there as high as possible because then there will certainly be some important signings in January. That’s what I’ve read and that’s what they say, their own president said it.”
