Inter Miami beat Philadelphia Union 6-4 at home in a 10-goal thriller before the World Cup break, with Luis Suarez netting a hat-trick. Lionel Messi provided two assists before going off injured, and Rodrigo De Paul scored on his birthday. German Berterame struck twice.
A week after their first home win over the Portland Timbers, Miami sought to extend that form, but the Union struck in the 4th and 10th minutes. According to interheron.com, the match was followed by full player ratings.
Berterame halved the deficit three minutes later, then the visitors restored their two-goal cushion seven minutes on. Miami hit back through Luis Suarez and Berterame, and it was level by the interval after the Union scored just before half-time.
After the break the Herons tightened up and limited the visitors, then added two more, Suarez and De Paul scoring to seal the points.
The ratings had Suarez at 9, Messi at 8.9, Berterame at 8.6 and De Paul at 8.2, with Yannick Bright on 7.8. Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair received 6.5, Sergio Reguilon 7, Micael 6.4, Gonzalo Lujan 6.3 and Ian Fray 7.
From the bench, Matteo Silvetti was rated 7.8 after an assist, Facundo Mura 6.3 and David Ayala 6, while Noah Allen and David Ruiz were not graded.
