Lazio’s hopes of a pre-Coppa Italia lift vanished as Torino won 2-0, Roberto D’Aversa starting his reign with Giovanni Simeone’s opener before Duvan Zapata added a second after the break.

According to The Laziali, the visitors were outplayed on Sunday evening and the ratings reflected a flat team display.

Ivan Provedel, 5.5, was involved in the mix-up for the first goal and could not get near Zapata’s header, though he did deny Simeone and Nikola Vlasic. Alessio Romagnoli, 6, was the most secure of the back line, while Oliver Provstgaard, 5.5, won aerial duels but was overpowered by Zapata for the second.

Adam Marusic, 5, endured a shaky night and left Matteo Cancellieri exposed in the build-up to the opener. Luca Pellegrini, 4.5, was blamed for failing to clear or stop Simeone, and later blocks could not repair the damage.

In midfield, Reda Belahyane, 5.5, mixed brave carries with wasteful passing and departed at half-time. Danilo Cataldi, 5, lost his grip after the interval, and Kenneth Taylor, 5.5, ran hard without quality.

Cancellieri, 5.5, worked diligently but offered little incision. Petar Ratkov, 5, had minimal threat and scant service, and Mattia Zaccagni, 5.5, created Belahyane’s chance yet remained below his standards.

From the bench, Tijjani Noslin, 5.5, was livelier than Ratkov without troubling Torino. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, 5, weakened midfield control, and Gustav Isaksen, 5, made little impact. Nuno Tavares, 6.5, shone again as a super-sub on the left, fashioning chances that went begging, while Boulaye Dia was not on long enough to rate.
