Ayden Heaven made his full Premier League debut for Manchester United on Sunday against Leicester City, building on his impressive performances against Real Sociedad and former club Arsenal. The teenage defender stood out once again, making crucial blocks at the back.

However, his night ended prematurely due to what appeared to be a serious knee injury, sparking concerns among United fans. Unable to walk off on his own, he had to be helped off the pitch by the medical staff.

Later that evening, Manchester Evening News journalist Tyron Marshall provided a positive update, revealing that Heaven was walking unassisted, albeit in a protective boot. On Tuesday, the 18-year-old reassured fans on Instagram, expressing gratitude for their support and confidence in his recovery.

"Thank you guys for all the support! I have read all your messages, and I’m doing really well and recovering fast," Heaven wrote.

His recovery appears to be progressing well. According to The Athletic’s Laurie Whitwell, the youngster has since been seen at Carrington without the protective boot, hinting at a return shortly after the international break.

"Ayden Heaven has been at Carrington without a protective boot. You’d assume from that, it won’t be too long after the international break before he’s back," Whitwell told Talk of the Devil.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim praised Heaven ahead of the Leicester match, acknowledging both his talent and the challenges ahead.

"I really like his confidence, his pace, and his ability to defend the box. He’s quite complete, but there’s still a lot of work to do. The Premier League presents different challenges, and he’ll be tested in new ways, so we’re managing his development carefully because he’s still very young," Amorim said.

Heaven joined United from Arsenal in January for £1.5 million, becoming the second youngster to move from North London to Manchester this season following Chido Obi’s transfer in September.
