Corinthians planned to unveil forward Kaio César at 11am on Friday at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava, but a regional power cut forced the event to be cancelled. According to Meu Timao, the outage hit the Parque Ecológico do Tietê area in the east of São Paulo.

Enel initially told the club supply would return around 3pm, so the press conference was pushed to after training, which began at that time. During the session the provider gave a new 5pm estimate that also passed, so Corinthians called it off and will reschedule next week.

Official on Thursday, Kaio César joins on loan from Al-Hilal until the end of 2026. The deal includes an option to buy 50 percent of his economic rights for six million euros, about R$ 37 million.

The training centre has generators, but they were reserved for essential areas such as kitchen, hotel services and operational departments, making a media event impractical. Media were allowed the opening 15 minutes of training for warm-ups and passing drills before the session went behind closed doors.

Matheuzinho and Memphis Depay skipped the opening phase for physical management, then trained as normal later. Midfielder José Martínez remains in Venezuela resolving visa issues and has not yet returned from holiday.

After training the players were released and report back on Saturday. In the late afternoon the squad travel to Brasília, where Corinthians face Flamengo on Sunday at 4pm at Mané Garrincha in the Supercopa do Brasil.
