Before every game, there is anxiety and excitement among Southampton fans regarding the final lineup selection. Well, this time it has turned to be a headache instead as Ivan Juric is sweating over the fitness of two defensive stalwarts.

That being said, let's walkthrough our predicted Southampton lineup which Juric could opt to start against Burnley.

Predicted Southampton lineup vs Burnley: Who will partner Jan Bednarek?

GK - Aaron Ramsdale.

Ramsdale is unreplaceable and will continue his role behind the sticks. Further, there is a whole week before the next match, so keeping him in match rhythm will be good.

LB - Welington.

Did enough good work against Ipswich Town to claim a starting role today.

No doubts about Bednarek's lineup inclusion. Still, could be a unique experience for him to partner with a different defender.

CB - Nathan Wood.

One of Russell Martin's trusted Cup players and thus, is tipped to start in the FA Cup.

RB - Kyle Walker-Peters.

Bree has been starting every game for a while and must be rested. With fewer defensive options, it would be wise to play Walker-Peters on the right instead of including another centre back.

LM - Kamaldeen Sulemana.

Scored last time in the FA Cup and will aim to find his scoring boots again.

CM - Joe Aribo.

Aribo's importance was reflected in the 2-1 away win. Thus, the midfielder must start no matter if he plays for an hour only.

CM - Lesley Ugochukwu.

Expected to start but Juric could ask him to operate as an extra central defender.

RM - Albert Gronbaek.

Didn't had a great debut playing behind Onuachu in the middle. Thus, his natural wide attacker role will suit him better.

ST - Tyler Dibling.

Juric announced Dibling's return last week but another rest week was a good call. Now, Dibling must have properly recovered to hit the ground running again.
