Chelsea are searching for a new manager following the decision to sack Liam Rosenior this week.
The West London sidehave sacked Rosenior after just three months in charge, with the 41-year-old only brought in to replace Enzo Maresca in January. It continues a carousel of coaches at Chelsea, with regular changes in the dugout at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are now searching for their 18th permanent manager since 2000. However, the Blues rank only fifth in thePremier League for permanent managerial changes this century, though that number does exclude lengthy interim coaches including Guus Hiddick (twice) and Rafael Benitez.
The most trigger-happy team among currentPremier League clubs has been Nottingham Forest. Forest have had 24 permanent managerial changes this century, including four different head coaches this season.
Their four managers in 2025/26: Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou, Sean Dyche, and Vitor Pereira has set a new single-season Premier League record. Postecoglou's ill-fated stint was another record, with his 39-day reign the shortest of any permanent manager in Premier League history.
Leeds United, Sunderland, and Crystal Palace have all had 20 or more permanent managerial changes since 2000.
At the other end of the scale,Arsenal have had the fewest. In large part thanks to Arsene Wenger's record-breaking reign between 1996 and 2018, the Gunners have had only three permanent managers in the 21st century. Current coach, Mikel Arteta, is currently the second-longest serving manager in the Premier League, behind Pep Guardiola of Manchester City.
We've ranked all current top-flight teams by the number of permanent managerial changes made since 2000.
Interim and caretaker coaches have not been included, though permanent managers returning for multiple spells (i.e David Moyes at Everton) are counted as separate changes.
