Everton dominate our Premier League Team of the Week after a big win over Chelsea. Here is our best XI from the weekend’s action.

Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford – Everton

A big response from Pickford after a rare error at Arsenal last weekend. The England number one made a series of stops against Chelsea, including another Save of the Season contender to deny Enzo Fernández.

Right-back: Timothy Castagne – Fulham

Did well after stepping in to replace Kenny Tete. The Belgian lost just one of his six defensive duels and created three chances as Fulham found a route past Burnley at Craven Cottage.

Centre-back: Nikola Milenkovic – Nottingham Forest

A man mountain at the back for Forest in a performance reminiscent of last season’s level. The Serbian was a sure presence at centre-back, with 11 clearances and 5/6 aerial duels won. A magnet to balls into the box.

Centre-back: James Tarkowski – Everton

Back in the side after his absence at Arsenal with a commanding performance. Barely gave the in-form Joao Pedro a sniff, including a big block after the Brazilian had bypassed Vitalii Mykolenko.

Left-back: Neco Williams – Nottingham Forest

Great delivery assisted Igor Jesus’s opener as Nottingham Forest earned a huge win at Spurs. Added a second assist late on and wasn’t dribbled past once all afternoon. An afternoon to remember for the Welshman.

Midfield: James Garner – Everton

Everywhere in the Everton midfield in a performance that justified his England call-up. Garner combines industry with smoothness in possession and assisted the opener with a nice threaded pass in for Beto. Deserves a chance to impress for England this month.

Midfield: Amadou Onana – Aston Villa

Right place at the right time for much of the win over West Ham, snuffing out danger and winning tackles. The best of the Belgians was on show, in one of Villa’s best performances for some time. Seven tackles and 7/8 ground duels won demonstrate his destructive performance in midfield.

Midfield: Josh King – Fulham

A long-awaited first Premier League goal for King and a performance that helped Fulham keep in the hunt for Europe. King reacted rapidly to score an equaliser in the comeback win against Burnley, following an error from Martin Dubravka.

His pass then picked out Harry Wilson for the second in an encouraging display from the teenager.

Forward: Brian Brobbey – Sunderland

His strength and hold-up play are a problem for any Premier League defender, and Brobbey bullied the Magpies’ backline on occasion. The Dutchman got his reward late on with the winner to send Sunderland into bedlam.

Forward: Beto – Everton

Has taken his fair share of criticism, but a man-of-the-match performance at Chelsea showed what he can do. His opener was a lovely finish and showed his best, racing in behind to lift a finish past Robert Sanchez.

Beto deserved the good fortune he got with a second strike through Sanchez, before completing a fine evening with an assist for Iliman Ndiaye.

Forward: Danny Welbeck – Brighton

The veteran is enjoying the best season of his career at the ripe old age of 35. A double over Liverpool both boosted Brighton’s European ambitions and did old side Manchester United a favour, while taking Welbeck to 12 league goals for the season.

It’s the most prolific Premier League campaign of his career to date. Has Thomas Tuchel made a mistake by overlooking him this month?
