Presnel Kimpembe (29) has been omitted from Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League squad for the upcoming ‘League Phase’ campaign.
Kimpembe has featured sparingly over the past two-and-a-half years, since suffering a severe Achilles tendon injury, which required two bouts of surgery. He made his return earlier in 2025, however, he has failed to establish himself under Luis Enrique. He is yet to play a single minute of football this season.
The Frenchman does not feature in Luis Enrique’s plans at PSG, and so a departure is envisaged. As per L’Équipe, he is in talks to join Qatar Sports Club. With those talks ongoing, he has missed out on a place in PSG’s Champions League squad. He is the only professional player on the club’s roster to miss out.
Looking to retain their Champions League title, Les Parisiens will face Atalanta, Barcelona, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, Tottenham Hotspur, Athletic Club, Sporting CP, and Newcastle United.
