Enzo Maresca made seven changes to his side in the draw against Azerbaijani giants and will face a tough task against Barcelona later this month.

Chelsea have lost three matches in the Premier League so far this season, though they come into this game on the back of a win against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

The Blues are looking to break into the top four should they beat Wolves at Stamford Bridge.

They recently beat the visitors 4-3 at the Molineux Stadium to progress to the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup where they will face Cardiff City in December.

Chelsea last beat Wolves in the Premier League back in January, when they won 3-1.

The sides have faced each other 119 times, with Wolves winning 43 times to the Chelsea’s 46. The pair have drawn a whopping 30 times.

Chelsea will be without several players due to injuries. Levi Colwill will be out for much of the rest of the season, while Cole Palmer and Benoît Badiashile will be absent until December. Romeo Lavia also picked up a knock in Azerbaijan during the week.

Meanwhile, the visitors travel to Stamford Bridge without a permanent manager after Vítor Pereira was sacked following their 3-0 loss against Fulham on Saturday.

Academy coaches James Collins and Richard Walker will be taking charge at Stamford Bridge with the club still searching for a first team manager.

Wolves are also still looking for their first Premier League win of the season, having lost eight and drawn two.

They sit at the bottom of the Premier League table and haven’t won in the competition since defeating Leicester City in April.

The visitors have won four of their last 10 Premier League matches against Chelsea, with their last victory in February 2024 where they beat the hosts 4-2.

Wolves will be without Emmanuel Agbadou after he picked up a one-match ban following a red card in their defeat against Fulham.

They will also be without Rodrigo Gomes and Matt Doherty through injury.

The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event in the UK, with a kick-off time of 20:00 GMT.
