Leeds United play their final Sky Bet Championship home fixture on Monday evening as they welcome Bristol City to Elland Road, knowing promotion to the Premier League has already been achieved!

The confirmation came after the Whites put in a truly memorable display last time out against Stoke City to win 6-0, before results elsewhere ensured United will be returning to the top-flight of English football!

In front of a packed-out Elland Road on Easter Monday, Daniel Farke’s side were at their ruthless best, five goals to the good at half-time with four of those coming for the league’s leading marksman Joël Piroe.

As well as a strike before the break from Junior Firpo, Italian international Wilfried Gnonto got in on the act after the interval, with Burnley’s victory over Sheffield United then confirming Leeds’ Premier League return.

The Whites, currently level on points with the Clarets, go into Monday’s encounter top of the standings before this weekend’s action got underway, with silverware still up for grabs in the form of the Championship title.

Bristol City, meanwhile, have had an impressive campaign under boss Liam Manning. The Robins currently occupy fifth position and are four points clear of seventh-placed Middlesbrough in the battle for the Play-Offs, though they did falter last time out as they were beaten by Luton Town away from home.

The two teams have already met earlier in the campaign, playing out a goalless draw at Ashton Gate back in October.

Action from Elland Road gets underway at 8pm.
