Preston North End and Bristol City face each other this Saturday at Deepdale for Matchweek Seven of the EFL Championship.
Paul Heckingbottom's Preston are currently in the upper reaches of the division in fifth - the Lilywhites chalking up a 0-1 win against Derby County last time out.
Bristol City, meanwhile, are also at the right end of the table, level on points but a couple of places higher than their hosts in third. In their last fixture, Gerhard Struber's Robins suffered a 1-3 reverse against Oxford United.
The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 2-2 draw.
PNEFC_Stats : After a first away win since February it is back to Deepdale for Preston, who are currently unbeaten in home league games this season.
After facing recently relegated Leicester and Ipswich and top of the table Middlesbrough so far at home it is 3rd place Bristol City this time around, however it is only goal difference that currently separates the sides.
Robbie Brady, Jordan Thompson, Will Keane and Brad Potts remain unavailable through injury.
Harrison Armstrong is pushing to make his first start but Paul Heckingbottom is likely to stick with the team that beat Derby last week.
Prediction: 1-0
Ben Mead (Robins on Tour): Gerhard Struber and Bristol City were subject to their first loss of the league season on Sunday, as Oxford United came to Ashton Gate and after a first half Rob Atkinson injury, some poor defending from City and a wonderstrike from Placheta, the Yellow's went into half time 2-0 up. Anis Mehmeti got the Red's back into the game un the 53rd minute with another goal of the season contender, however Oxford were just the better side on the day and wrapped up all three points with another goal in the 90th minute.
There's been a lot of talk off the pitch this week, regarding a possible takeover of Bristol City and Bristol Sport, however Gerhard Struber will be looking firmly ahead to Saturday, looking to bounce back from his first league defeat of the season and pick up another three points on the road at Deepdale. Last time out at Preston, City picked up all three points with a 3-1 win, thanks to an extremely controversial Yu Hirakawa goal, a brilliant Nahki Wells' finish and a fantasticly worked Max Bird goal that ended up being one of our goals of the season.
Preston have started this season off fantastically, sitting just two places behind City, in 5th, joint on points with the Reds. So even this early in the season, a win on Saturday would be massive to push ourselves up the table and bounce back from Sunday's disappointing result.
