Preston North End welcome Ipswich Town to Deepdale this Saturday as the Championship rolls into its third weekend.
Neither side has tasted defeat yet, though their starts have had a slightly different feel to them.
Paul Heckingbottom's side opened with a draw against QPR and then followed it up by nicking all three points in a 2-1 win over relegated Leicester City 2–1 last weekend, giving them a solid start to the campaign.
Ipswich, meanwhile, are still waiting for that first victory. They’ve picked up a pair of 1-1 draws so far, first against newly promoted Birmingham and then at home to Southampton last Sunday.
The last time these two met, it was Preston who edged it in a five-goal contest, running out 3-2 winners.
PNEFC_Stats : Preston face a newly relegated side for the second week running after beating Leicester 2-1 last week.
Confidence should therefore be high and it’s unlikely there’ll be many, if any changes to the starting XI.
Preston will be looking for back to back home wins for the first time since December.
Daniel Jebbison might be fit enough to make the squad but the game will be too soon for Mads Frokjaer.
Jordan Thompson, Robbie Brady, Will Keane and Brad Potts all remain unavailable.
Prediction: 1-1
Adam Wilkin (Blue Monday): It was a much better performance for the Super Blues at Portman Road last weekend against Southampton with more cohesion and pre-season patterns of play visible. Leif Davis was at his attacking best and Jack Clarke looked far better despite being on his unfavoured right side.
Deepdale wasn't a happy hunting ground the last time Town visited and Heckingbottom's side have started the season strongly with a draw and a victory against Leicester. There are no easy games in the Championship but I don't think Town will be treating this one lightly.
Where Preston have consistency and camaraderie, Town have the star power and individual talents that should see them get through this one. I'm not expecting a riot but at this stage of the season with more signings still to come i'm going for a 1-0 away victory
Prediction: 0-1
