QPR host Swansea City this Monday at Loftus Road in Matchweek 44 of the EFL Championship.

The Hoops are up to 14th and fresh from a 1-2 against Preston North End, while Swansea racked up a fourth straight win and a fourth consecutive clean sheet with a 1-0 victory over Hull City last time out.

The last meeting between the two teams ended with the Swans emerging 3-0 winners.

The Fan Zone

Ben Platt (W12 Podcast): Queens Park Rangers officially secured their Championship status on Friday evening with a dramatic last-minute winner at Deepdale. A stunning 30-yard strike from Lucas Andersen sealed a 2-1 victory over Preston North End, completing a spirited comeback after going behind early in the match.

The goal was a fitting way to confirm safety, capping off a performance full of resilience and belief - something we haven’t seen too often this season. It was a well-earned result that extends QPR’s unbeaten run to four games—an impressive resurgence under Martí Cifuentes at a crucial stage of the season.

With key attacking players now returning from injury, Cifuentes faces some welcome selection dilemmas heading into the final games. Swiss striker Michael Frey came off the bench to grab the equaliser on Friday, while young forward Rayan Kolli impressed on his return to the side. Ilias Chair is also expected to be in contention for the next match.

However, there was one sour note from the win: Koki Saito was forced off in the first half after dislocating his shoulder and is unlikely to feature again this season.

Next up for QPR is a trip to Swansea City—a side in a similar mid-table position, with no relegation threat and the playoffs out of reach. Both teams come into the game in good form, setting the stage for an open and entertaining contest in South Wales.

Prediction: 2-1

Luke Davies (Swans Cast): Swansea have won their last four, with a clean sheet in each, which highlights the improvements made since Alan Sheehan has taken charge, but it will be another tough ask for them to make it five on the bounce.

Current form has many wondering what may of been, with several players standing up in the final games of the season with improvements coming all over the pitch, but as I have mentioned many times here now, Swansea do still have a reason to play football outside of relegation or play off battles: Sheehan is interviewing for the job.

I do think it will be tough to make it a run of five wins, we don't see that often in these parts. As a result, I think a point on Easter Monday will make for a good return and continue the momentum and progression of Swansea without all of the glory. QPR have picked up slightly of late, considering the form they had embarked on not so long ago, and any point away from home is a good point after all!

Prediction: 1-1
