Real Betis prepare to welcome Olympique Lyonnais to Esadio La Cartuja stadium as they return to Europa League action tomorrow night.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side are currently fifth in the LaLiga table having won three of their last five matches and are six points behind second place Barcelona.

They have wins over Mallorca, Espanyol and Osasuna while having drawn against Villarreal and lost to Atlético Madrid.

Real Betis are unbeaten in the Europa League, but have drawn against Nottingham Forest and Genk, with a win against Ludogorets their only victory of the campaign thus far.

The side have only lost one of their last 10 European matches, winning four and drawing five.

Their last loss came against Chelsea, where were defeated 4-1 in the UEFA Conference League final.

They also beat Palma Del Rio 7-1 to advance to the next stage of the Copa Del Rey last Thursday.

Real Betis will be without star player Isco, who is sidelined with a long-term leg injury. They will also miss Ricardo Rodriguez who was withdrawn at half time against Mallorca with muscle discomfort.

Junior Firpo is out with a hamstring injury while Pau López is a doubt due to physical discomfort.

Meanwhile, visitors Lyon return to Europe on the back of a 0-0 draw against Brest in Ligue 1.

They have won one in their last five matches in Ligue 1, which was against Strasbourg. They have suffered recent losses against Nice and Toulouse and sit sixth in the league table.

It’s a different story in the Europa League, though, as Paulo Fonseca’s side have won all three of their opening games against Utrecht, Red Bull Salzburg and Basel.

Lyon remain unbeaten against Spanish sides in the Europa League, winning five out of six of their matches while drawing one, and are currently third in the Europa League table.

The French side will be without three players for the match against Real Betis. Tanner Tessman, Orel Mangala and Ernest Nuamah are unavailable due to long term injuries.

The match will be broadcast live in the UK on TNT Sports 5 with a kickoff time of 20:00 BST.
