Prince William hails Aston Villa’s Europa League win and praises Boubacar Kamara

Prince William congratulated Aston Villa after watching them lift the Europa League in Istanbul, and singled out Boubacar Kamara for praise.

Youri Tielemans, Emi Buendia and Morgan Rogers scored in a 3-0 win over Freiburg. He said in a post on his official X account, @KensingtonRoyal, that he was delighted for the players, staff and everyone connected to the club.

The message gave a special mention to Kamara, who has been out since suffering a knee injury against Tottenham Hotspur in January, crediting him with helping to lay the foundations for the success.

The victory ended a 30-year wait for a major trophy and came 44 years after the 1982 European Cup win over Bayern Munich.

Earlier this month, William attended the 4-0 semi-final second leg against Nottingham Forest at Villa Park.
