Prison sentences sought for two Nice ultras over violence against Terem Moffi and Jérémie Boga | OneFootball

French prosecutors have requested prison sentences for two OGC Nice ultras accused of facilitating violence against Terem Moffi and former Chelsea winger Jérémie Boga in November 2025, according to L’Équipe and AFP.

More than 200 supporters gathered outside Nice’s training ground following a 3-1 defeat to Lorient and blocked the team bus. The two defendants, who previously held positions within the Populaire Sud ultras group, reportedly boarded the vehicle and assured the players that they could safely leave to speak with the crowd.

Most of the squad passed through without incident, but Moffi and Boga were subjected to insults, spitting and violent jostling. Both players and the club subsequently filed complaints.

Although neither defendant is accused of personally striking the players, prosecutor Damien Martinelli described the incident as an “ambush”, arguing that it would not have occurred without their intervention.

A two-year sentence, including one year in prison, was requested one ultra. Prosecutors sought two years in prison and an immediate committal order for the second, alongside the revocation of a previous suspended sentence.

The Nice criminal court will deliver its verdict on 11 September.GFFN | George Boxall
