Paris Saint-Germain delivered a five-star performance to crush Inter 5–0 in Munich, lifting the UEFA Champions League trophy for the very first time and completing a remarkable treble.

Luis Enrique’s side were simply unstoppable from start to finish, dismantling an ageing Inter side with clinical precision and flair. Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring early before Désiré Doué, the 19-year-old sensation, stole the spotlight with two goals and an assist. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and substitute Senny Mayulu rounded off the scoring as PSG ran riot in, statistically, the most one-sided Champions League finals in history.

As it happened

From the opening whistle, PSG asserted their control and set the tone for a dominant performance. They broke the deadlock after just 12 minutes when Doué’s clever cross picked out Hakimi, who timed his run perfectly and tapped into an empty net. The lead was doubled just eight minutes later – Doué again involved, this time volleying in from the right side of the area with the help of a deflection off Federico Dimarco.

Inter had no response. PSG’s energy, pressing, and fluid attacking play left them chasing shadows for much of the first half. While the Italians had a couple of set-piece chances, including a glancing header from Marcus Thuram, they rarely troubled Gianluigi Donnarumma.

After the break, the French champions continued where they left off. In the 63rd minute, Vitinha surged through midfield and found Doué in space inside the box. The teenager remained composed and calmly slotted into the bottom-right corner to make it 3–0.

PSG’s fourth came ten minutes later. Ousmane Dembélé threaded a perfectly weighted pass in behind the Inter defence for Kvaratskhelia, who raced clear and lifted the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper. By now, the result was beyond doubt, but there was still time for one more moment of brilliance.

In the 86th minute, Bradley Barcola combined beautifully with substitute Senny Mayulu before slipping the ball back into the midfielder’s path. Mayulu powered a low finish across goal and into the far corner to round off an unforgettable evening.

This victory marks a milestone for Paris Saint-Germain, who had fallen short in their only previous Champions League final appearance in 2020. Luis Enrique’s side had already wrapped up Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France earlier in the season – and this emphatic result confirmed their place among Europe’s elite with a first continental crown.
