Achraf Hakimi
Achraf Hakimi could be in line for a promotion at PSG this season. The Moroccan has every chance of becoming the team's captain.
For the past five years, Marquinhos has been the face of PSG's captaincy. The Brazilian reaffirmed his role last season, supported by Presnel Kimpembe, Achraf Hakimi, and Gianluigi Donnarumma as vice-captains. However, according to L'Equipe, things are changing this summer: Kimpembe and Donnarumma are preparing to leave, and Marquinhos now faces stiff competition from Illia Zabarnyi in central defense. This could limit his playing time and open the door for other players to step up.
The real uncertainty surrounds the identity of the new vice-captains. Achraf Hakimi, already a vice-captain, is well positioned for a promotion. A leader on the pitch and respected in the dressing room, the Moroccan could become Marquinhos' trusted right-hand man—and may well wear the armband far more often, especially when Zabarnyi is preferred over the Brazilian.
