The 2025-26 UEFA Champions League league phase is officially confirmed, and PSG have been drawn into a tough group. After a slow start last season, the Parisian side will be eager to make an immediate mark this year.
From the top-seeded pot, PSG face Bayern Munich and Barcelona, promising high-stakes encounters right from the beginning. Tottenham Hotspur are also in the mix, setting up an early rematch of their intense Super Cup clash just weeks ago.
The French champions’ group also features challenging sides from the lower pots. Newcastle United and Athletic Bilbao join the lineup, while Bayer Leverkusen, Atalanta, and Portuguese champions Sporting Lisbon complete PSG’s route through the expanded 36-team league phase.

Ahead of their upcoming matches against Atalanta on September 17 and Barcelona on October 1, PSG have suffered a significant setback during the international break. According to Telefoot’s Saber Desfarges, Ousmane Dembele is expected to leave the France national team camp after sustaining a right hamstring injury.
France head coach Didier Deschamps also shared his thoughts on the PSG star’s condition:
“If I brought him on, it’s because he was doing fine; otherwise I wouldn’t bring him on,” Dechamps said. “Plus, it’s the other thigh, even though he didn’t feel anything severe.
“He was in good spirits. Unfortunately for him, it happened, but it could have happened to another player. But I made my decision based on what he thought and from a medical point of view, there was no issue.”
