PSG join Arsenal in pursuit of Real Madrid star Rodrygo | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly joined Arsenal in the transfer race for Real Madrid star Rodrygo.

According to ESPN Brasil, the Ligue 1 giants have made contact with the 24-year-old’s representatives in case he decides to leave Madrid.

Luis Enrique spearheaded PSG to their first-ever Champions League title in May, defeating Inter Milan 5-0 in the final.

The Spanish boss now aims to bolster his squad for the 2025-26 campaign and believes Rodrygo would be an excellent addition.

However, they face competition from Arsenal and Manchester City, who are both keen on the winger.

The Gunners look to be in pole position as the Brazilian has made it clear he would prefer a move to the Emirates Stadium if he leaves Los Blancos this summer.

Rodrygo’s future in Madrid has been a source of speculation, despite having three years left on his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Manager Xabi Alonso appears to be open to selling the forward based on his reduced role under the Spaniard at the Club World Cup.

Xabi is expected to hold talks with Rodrygo after the tournament, and if assurances are not given, the player may decide to leave.

Real consider the winger a valuable asset and are likely to demand an enormous fee for his departure this summer.

Since joining the La Liga club in 2019, Rodrygo has scored 68 goals and provided 51 assists in 270 appearances across all competitions.
