PSG doesn’t appear to be active this winter transfer window. Nonetheless, the reigning UEFA Champions League winners could lay the groundwork this month for a potential move later this summer.
The capital club, under Luis Campos and Luis Enrique, have played the long game when acquiring potential talent to help the team. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is the most famous case of the Parisians waiting to get a player at a price they feel comfortable paying.
So, who could be that player the Ligue 1 side is looking to land in the summer? With Chelsea struggling and now Liam Rosenior taking over as manager, PSG could be looking to see whether Enzo Fernández might be available for the right price.

According to L’ÉQUIPE (h/t Le10Sport), PSG have added Fernández to their shortlist for next summer. The Argentine international, Chelsea’s most expensive signing at €121 million three years ago, has a contract running until 2032 and has reportedly struggled with the departure of Enzo Maresca, whom Rosenior replaced.
The move could prove controversial. Fernandez’s reputation in France has taken a hit—not only for his celebrations after Argentina beat France in the 2022 World Cup, but also following racist chants aimed at players of African descent after Argentina won the 2024 Copa America. If he were to join PSG, it would almost certainly spark a backlash.
