According to L'Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain will start Matveï Safonov in goal against Flamengo in Wednesday’s Intercontinental Cup final at 18:00.
Luis Enrique has chosen the Russian ahead of Lucas Chevalier. The France international, capped once, had been tipped to start, while the 26-year-old is set for a fourth straight appearance.
PSG are expected to line up in a 4-3-3. Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola begin on the bench, with Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué and Lee Kang-in starting in attack.
It is Doué’s first start since a right thigh injury against Lorient on 29 October. He has since made two substitute outings, 29 minutes in the 0-0 draw with Athletic Bilbao and 45 minutes in the 3-2 win at Metz, when he scored his first goal since 25 October.
PSG XI: Safonov, Zaïre-Emery, Marquinhos (c.), Pacho, Nuno Mendes, Neves, Vitinha, F. Ruiz, Lee, D. Doué, Kvaratskhelia.
Filipe Luis has named the XI announced the day before, also in a 4-3-3. Former Chelsea midfielder Jorginho features, as does ex-Juventus left-back Alex Sandro.
Flamengo XI: Rossi, Varela, Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira, Alex Sandro, Pulgar, Jorginho, De Arrascaeta, Carrascal, Plata, Bruno Henrique (c.).
