According to L'Équipe, Wednesday’s Champions League play-off second leg between PSG and Monaco at the Parc des Princes kicks off at 21.00. It has been rated level 1 out of 5 by the Division nationale de la lutte contre le hooliganisme, the minimum risk category.

The fixture has prompted no intense preparations given the lack of previous incidents between the two fanbases. A security meeting was held on Monday. Around 1,200 Monaco fans are expected and three mobile units will be on duty.

A fresh variable has emerged after Saturday’s 3-0 home win over Metz, when Paris ultras were involved in a brief scuffle near the ground. It was described as very short and not a particular concern for this match, though it reflects rising tension in the Virage Auteuil in recent months.

Around 100 members of Urban Paris, linked to the K-Soce Team and who had left before full-time, are said to have confronted 15 to 20 from Parias Cohortis.

All belong to the Collectif Ultras Paris and the clash is said to stem from internal power struggles, including financial issues.

PSG remains vigilant on these matters and is said to have warned some individuals it would act quickly, before Wednesday.
