PSG are set to lose another one of their youth talents to a local rival.

L’Equipe are today reporting that Emmanuel Mbemba will join Paris FC rather than sign a professional deal with PSG.

The 18 year old was a key part of the PSG youth team which won the Coupe Gambardella earlier this year, but like so many of his colleagues who have reached the end of the line at youth level, he has decided to pass on the offer of a pro contract at his boyhood club and instead take the risk on an easier pathway to first team football.

A left back or centre back, Mbemba is a French youth international and a player PSG would really like to have kept.

Top teams from all over Europe tried to sign him up – this report mentions Leverkusen and Arsenal as suitors.

However the temptation of being able to stay in Paris has proved too great for the young defender. Paris FC have a nice little business model here just taking up PSG cast-offs.
