Although PSV are considering Mario Stroeykens, his arrival is not currently a priority, according to La Dernière Heure. In Eindhoven, the RSC Anderlecht star is considered “plan B.” Stroeykens is expected to leave Anderlecht this summer.

News broke on Thursday that Stroeykens is on PSV’s radar. However, the Anderlecht talent is currently not a priority in Eindhoven. La Dernière Heure is calling Stroeykens a “plan B” at PSV. Technical director Earnest Stewart will only consider the 20-year-old Belgian if the arrival of other players proves impossible.

LDH further emphasises that, besides PSV, several other clubs have already approached Anderlecht about Stroeykens’ services. He has previously been linked with clubs such as Olympique Marseille and West Ham United, with these two clubs already inquiring. However, there has been no concrete interest yet.

Last season, Stroeykens scored five goals and provided seven assists in 39 matches for Anderlecht. His contract in Belgium runs until next summer, making this window seem like Anderlecht’s last chance to collect a transfer fee. For now, Stroeykens has refused to extend his contract, threatening a free transfer.
