PSV have reportedly turned to Cas Odenthal in their search for defensive reinforcements, according to transfer journalist Nicolò Schira.

The 24-year-old Odenthal came through the FC Utrecht youth academy and then joined NEC’s U19 team. In Nijmegen, he made 72 appearances for the first team before transferring to Como in 2022.

Sassuolo signed the Dutch defender last summer, but his role at the Italian club now appears to be over. ‘He is no longer in coach Fabio Grosso’s plans and could leave,’ Schira reported on X. PSV have therefore reportedly shown interest in the central defender.

Odenthal’s contract with Sassuolo, who were promoted to Serie A as Serie B champions, runs until the summer of 2027. According to Transfermarkt, the Dutchman has a market value of approximately 2.8 million euros.
