Ricardo Pepi will not be leaving PSV to join Fulham in the Premier League. As reported by VI, Fulham had improved their bid to €35m, an offer that PSV would be more than willing to accept. However, the problem is, the bid from Fulham has come to late for PSV. The Eredivisie leaders would only let Pepi go if they had enough time to find a suitable replacement. With very little time left in the transfer window, PSV have decided that they do not have the capability to replace the striker and so he will not be joining Fulham at this moment. It appears that a move in the summer will be more likely, although if Pepi impresses at the 2026 World Cup the price tag could increase.
The 23-year-old striker has had a great season so far with PSV and it is not surprising that Fulham have shown concrete interest. He has scored eight goals in 15 games in the Eredisivie, with another three in the Champions League. Last season was the best season of Pepi’s career so far, with 17 goals in 28 games as PSV won the Eredivisie title. PSV fans will hope he can continue to find the net as they hone in on another title winning season in the Eredivisie.
