Pundit says two Chelsea players will not “get you top four season after season” | OneFootball

A pundit has made some big claims about two Chelsea players who started the defeat against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.

There’s been a lot said about Chelsea after they lost 3-1 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League earlier this week.

Chelsea were not bad against Bayern at all, and there has been some over reactions. But there’s also been some reactions that are probably quite accurate.

Defender Tosin Adarabioyo has disagreed with Enzo Maresca’s verdict after the game. Maresca believes that experience played a part in the gulf between Bayern and Chelsea, but Tosin says that age has nothing to do with it!

Pundits Joe Cole and Owen Hargreaves were covering the game on the night, and they both mentioned Chelsea’s centre backs as a weak link. Cole even said he has been banging the drum for Chelsea to sign in a new centre back for a while now.

They are not the only ones who are questioning Chelsea’s defenders right now.

Agbonlahor slams Tosin and Chalobah

Sticking with Tosin Adarabioyo now, and one pundit does not rate him that highly along with his centre back partner, Trevoh Chalobah.

Former player turned pundit Gabby Agbonlahor said:

“I look at Chalobah and Tosin. I think they’re very good defenders, but they’re going to get you top four season after season. They are not going to win you a Premier League. They are not going to win you a Champions League. When they played a proper team – Serge Gnabry, Michael Olise, Luiz Diaz and Harry Kane making runs in behind them – they couldn’t handle it last night.”

I actually think he’s got a point here as well. They’re both good players but Chelsea need something more at the back.
