FC Bayern are still on the lookout for reinforcements for their attacking options, with the name Dusan Vlahovic continuing to crop up around the Säbener Straße alongside top target Anthony Gordon. The situation with the Juventus striker is now coming to a head
Dusan Vlahovic’s future at Juventus remains open. Talks about a possible contract extension have been ongoing for months, but so far no agreement has been reached. FC Bayern officials are also keeping a close eye on this development
As the Gazzetta dello Sport reports, there are still clear differences between Juventus and the Serbian international regarding the financial terms of a new contract
Vlahovic’s current contract is due to expire and Juventus would like to keep the attacker – albeit on significantly reduced terms
According to the report, Vlahovic would be willing to earn around eight million euros net per year in the future, but Juventus are apparently willing to pay a maximum of seven million euros including bonus payments
The background to this is that the Turin club missed out on qualifying for the Champions League and have to act much more cautiously in financial terms. In addition, the club is apparently arguing internally that youngster Kenan Yildiz now earns a similar amount and has at least the same status in sporting terms
For Juventus, one thing is clear: the salary structure should be adjusted

It is precisely this development that could play into the hands of FC Bayern. It has been reported for weeks that Vlahovic is open to new options – and is waiting for calls from big European clubs in particular
The record champions are also still being linked with the 25-year-old, with Munich particularly appreciating the striker’s overall package: physically strong, internationally experienced and technically well-trained despite his role as a classic centre-forward
Vlahovic could be of particular interest to FC Bayern as an alternative or complement to Harry Kane. The Englishman is practically a permanent fixture in the current squad without any real competition. An additional top striker would make Bayern more flexible offensively and at the same time distribute the workload better
In sporting terms, the Serbian has recently drawn attention to himself once again. Vlahovic scored twice in the derby on the final matchday of Serie A, underlining that his quality is still there despite a mixed season overall
However, it is also clear that no final decision has yet been made: Juventus are still hoping to reach an agreement, while Vlahovic would like to have clarity about his sporting future as soon as possible
For FC Bayern, the question now is whether they really want to get into the poker game – or whether other transfer targets continue to have priority, because even if Vlahovic would be attractive from a sporting point of view, Munich would have to weigh up exactly how much they want to invest in an additional striker.
