Ruhr Nachrichten reports that Borussia Dortmund target and Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber is open to a move to the Bundesliga side.
Timber’s contract in Rotterdam expires next summer, and it is increasingly likely that he will be available on a free transfer as he continues to reject contract offers from Feyenoord.
Dortmund reportedly sent scouts to watch the midfielder during Stuttgart’s recent 2-0 win against Feyenoord in the Europa League. The midfielder reportedly ‘very well imagine’ a move to die Schwarzgelben in the summer.
However, despite the interest in Timber, a final decision on whether they will sign the 24-year-old has yet to be made.
The decision will be up to head coach Niko Kovac, sporting director Sebastian Kehl and sporting CEO Lars Ricken on whether they make their pursuit of Timber more concrete.
With the futures of Pascal Groß and Emre Can at the Signal Iduna Park, the addition of Timber will add a new, younger profile to the midfield, who would be an improvement in their current options alongside Felix Nmecha.
