Lille OSC may have found their replacement for Jonathan David. As per a report by Sacha Tavolieri, the club are closing in on Rangers’ Hamza Igamane (22).

David left Lille upon the expiry of his contract. Italy looks to be the most likely destination for the Canada international, whilst Chuba Akpom also left the club upon the conclusion of his loan spell. He returns to parent club Ajax.

There is a big hole to fill in Lille’s attack, and it looks set to be filled by Rangers forward Igamane. The Moroccan, who scored 16 goals last season, held a meeting with Les Dogues on Wednesday. During that meeting, he agreed personal terms. Lille are now in talks with Rangers in order to agree on a fee.

In addition to Igamane, L’Équipe understands that the club are interested in signing LAFC forward Olivier Giroud (38), who has not played in Ligue 1 since leaving Montpellier HSC 13 years ago.
