An utterly dominant performance from FC Barcelona saw them completely dismantle Athletic Club in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final. The Catalan giants now head to the final, but this was a performance worth remembering.
Goals from Raphinha, Fermin Lopez, Ferran Torres, and Roony Bardghji sealed a comprehensive victory for Hansi Flick’s side. While no league points were at stake, the reward was significant: a place in a crucial final and a statement of intent from Barça.
Here are the player ratings for Hansi Flick’s team.
Joan Garcia: 7.5/10
Barely had anything to do, considering just how much Athletic Club struggled to create chances. Apart from that, his distribution and awareness were commendable.
Jules Kounde: 8.0/10
Played some impressive balls over the top and did well defensively when needed throughout the game.
Pau Cubarsi: 8.0/10
Completed most of his passes well and, as always, was incredibly reliable in his distribution. Not as strong in his duels as someone like Eric Garcia, but a good performance nonetheless.
Eric Garcia: 8.5/10
Made some good interceptions, was strong in his duels, and completed a lot of accurate, crucial passes.
Alejandro Balde: 7.0/10
A decent performance from the young Spanish left-back, but he was underwhelming considering how well his teammates were playing.
Frenkie de Jong: 8.0/10
The Dutch midfielder did not have to do much beyond acting as a facilitator for Pedri to thrive. Still, a good and reliable display.
Pedri: 9.0/10
Controlled the midfield almost flawlessly and almost always made the correct call. A brilliant performance from the Spanish midfielder.

Fermin Lopez: 9.5/10
Intense and energetic, the young Spaniard was always keen to make a difference. From his two assists to his well-placed finish, Fermin Lopez was a real headache for Athletic Club.
Roony Bardghji: 9.0/10
Clever with his touches and passes, Roony Bardghji reminded everyone of his quality. With a goal and two assists to his name, the young winger ensured no one missed Lamine Yamal from the starting XI.

Raphinha: 10/10
Simply impossible to contain, Raphinha was everywhere. Beyond his immense work rate, the Brazilian star scored twice for Barcelona and also grabbed an assist.
Ferran Torres: 8.0/10
A clever finish saw him open the scoring for Barça, and he continued to press throughout the game.
Gerard Martin: 6.0/10
A decent display after he came on.
Marc Bernal: 6.5/10
Made some clever plays here and there.
Marcus Rashford: 7.0/10
Looked sharp and tried to create danger, even producing some impressive passes.
Dani Olmo: 6.0/10
A decent performance from the Spaniard after coming on.
