Raphinha breaks his silence after injury blow: ‘I’ll do everything I can to return as soon as possible’ | OneFootball

Raphinha has spoken publicly after several days of speculation surrounding both his physical condition and his future.

The Barcelona winger used his social media accounts to send a message of determination following the injury he suffered with Brazil during the World Cup.

After a season repeatedly interrupted by muscular problems, the Brazilian’s campaign with the national team has also started on a frustrating note.

He started Brazil’s opening matches against Morocco and Haiti, but his participation against the Caribbean side was cut short when he was forced off before half-time with discomfort in his right leg.

Medical examinations later confirmed a muscle injury in the back of his right thigh. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced that the player would undergo an intensive recovery programme aimed at accelerating his return to action.

A message of commitment

Through Instagram, the Barcelona forward made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Brazil’s World Cup camp and that his focus is entirely on recovering and helping the national team again.

Posting a photo from his early days with the national team, Raphinha wrote: “I chose this photo first because it reminds me of where it all began.

“The boy who dreamed of wearing the Brazilian national team jersey is still here. With the same dreams, the same gratitude, and the same desire to represent our country.”

He stressed his love for football and his pride in representing Brazil, insisting that his desire to improve and push himself every day remains unchanged.

“I love football, I love what I do, and I love wearing the Brazilian national team jersey. Those who know me know how much I demand of myself and how hard I work every day to improve. And that will never change.”

Continuing, he wrote: “I will do everything in my power to recover and return as quickly as possible.”

Concluding, Raphinha mentioned that he will remain with the Brazil camp and continue to support his teammates.

“I want to be alongside my teammates, fight for our goals, and continue giving my all to honor this jersey and bring joy to Brazilian fans. I remain strong.”

The injury has come amid growing speculation in Brazil over Raphinha’s personal situation and his future at Barcelona.

Former Brazilian international Vampeta recently claimed that the winger was experiencing serious family and financial difficulties and suggested that he was eager to join Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

Those claims were quickly denied by people close to the player.

For now, the winger’s immediate priority is his recovery. Amid the noise surrounding his fitness and his future, Raphinha’s message was simple and direct: he remains fully committed and determined to return as quickly as possible.
