According to reports in Italy and Spain, Monday will see a decisive meeting for Giacomo Raspadori, who could either remain with Atletico Madrid or push to join Roma.

The Italy international has emerged as a major transfer target for Roma in the January window, where he would return to Serie A after just six months in LaLiga.

He was a €22m investment from Scudetto winners Napoli and had hoped for more regular playing time than he was receiving at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Instead, his situation got even more frustrating with just 14 appearances, almost all of them off the bench.

Raspadori has nonetheless been able to make an impact with two goals and three assists for his new club.

According to both Diario AS and the Corriere dello Sport, the Italian is due to meet with Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone on Monday December 29.

The result of this encounter will dictate whether he is promised more playing time, or allowed to leave for Roma.

Any move would likely be a loan with option to buy at the end of the season, perhaps becoming an obligation if there is Champions League qualification.
