Oliver Rathbone struck in second half stoppage time to earn Wrexham a 2-2 draw with Watford, lifting the hosts from 15th to 14th in the Championship.
In the 21st minute, Josh Windass put Wrexham ahead, running onto Matty James' through ball and finishing low across the goalkeeper.
Mamadou Doumbia levelled with a swerving effort from outside the box (30.), and Othmane Maamma turned in from close range to put the Hornets in front (42.).
Callum Doyle then rattled the bar in the third minute of first half stoppage time. After the restart, Arthur Okonkwo denied Luca Kjerrumgaard with a low stop (52.), and later Egil Selvik foiled Windass from the centre of the box (77.). A double change injected energy for Wrexham, with Nathan Broadhead and Ben Sheaf adding thrust in midfield.
Six minutes of added time were indicated, and substitute Rathbone, introduced late, drilled home from outside the area in the second minute of second half stoppage time to rescue a point.
Wrexham tallied 16 attempts and held 52% of the ball. The Hornets produced 12 attempts and one corner as they were pegged back late on.
Watford drop from 12th to 13th. Next, Wrexham visit Swansea in the Championship. The Hornets host Stoke in the league next.
