Wolves have completed the re-signing of Raul Jimenez on a two-year deal, with an option for a further 12 months, after his Fulham contract expired.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the fan favourite will again wear the number nine shirt, with the club saying Adam Armstrong was happy to vacate it once Jimenez’s return was confirmed.

The forward returns after three years away, aiming to help Wolves win promotion back to the top flight and to add to his tally of 57 goals in 166 appearances for the club.

He is regarded as the club’s greatest Premier League-era striker and remains a hero to the Molineux support.

The move also arrives in the club’s 150th anniversary year.
