Yan Diomande (19) scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances in 2025/26 as RB Leipzig secured a return to the UEFA Champions League for the upcoming season. The Ivorian’s standout performances in his maiden campaign in Germany’s top flight has naturally attracted interest from Europe’s top clubs.

On 18 June, Liverpool submitted their first offer to sign Diomande, testing the waters with a €100m (€90m base fee plus €10m in bonuses) offer, according to a report by Sky Germany, which was swiftly rejected by Leipzig. Enduring a rebuild after replacing Arne Slot with Andoni Iraola, Liverpool are expected to submit an improved offer soon.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Leipzig want more than €100m for their prized asset, with €120m a figure that has been mentioned. Such a fee would make Diomande their biggest departure by some distance, ahead of Josko Gvardiol (Manchester City, €90m) and Benjamin Sesko (Manchester United, €76.5m).

However, Liverpool face competition from Paris Saint-Germain. As reported via our colleagues at Get French Football News, Les Parisiens are expected to join the race to sign the 19-year-old, although Sky Germany adds that no offer has yet arrived.
