Sky reports that RB Leipzig are pushing to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Rocco Reitz in the summer, viewing him as a leading target, with Jürgen Klopp also involved.

Reitz is considered a potential replacement for Kevin Kampl and potentially Xaver Schlager.

Schlager could leave on a free at the end of the 2025-26 season when his contract expires.

Kampl has departed Leipzig for personal reasons, bidding an emotional farewell on Saturday.

Reitz has a €28 million release clause that becomes active in the summer.

Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen and Brighton are also interested, though Leipzig are said to be in the driving seat.
