Real Betis & Villarreal closing on transfer agreement | OneFootball

La Liga clubs Real Betis and Villarreal are inching towards an incoming agreement over the transfer of a member of the latter’s goalkeeper ranks.

This comes amid the understanding that Diego Conde is all set to take his talents to Seville for the season ahead.

The brass at Real Betis have spent recent days scouring the market for reinforcements between the posts. Following the decision of Pau López to head to La Liga 2 with FC Andorra, the signing of a new shot-stopper emerged as something of a priority.

Talks, in turn, were recently opened with the aforementioned Villarreal, over a potential deal for Diego Conde. Spaniard Conde is fresh off a disappointing campaign with the Yellow Submarine last time out, giving rise to a grand total of zero La Liga appearances.

And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, Betis appear closer than ever to landing their man. As per a report from transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, citing journalist Matteo Moretto:

‘Real Betis are closing in on Diego Conde deal with Villarreal. He’s the replacement for Pau López.’
