There is still a lot of mystery surrounding the new-look FIFA Club World Cup which is set to get underway in the United States in June next year.

One big question has been answered today though, as FIFA has unveiled details of a broadcast deal which will see the competition on free-to-air TV all across the world.

The deal, in partnership with broadcaster DAZN, will see all 63 matches of the groundbreaking new tournament broadcast live and free for anyone who wants to watch.

The deal also permits the possibility of sublicensing agreements, which basically means that DAZN could possibly agree to a deal with terrestrial TV networks, such as BBC or ITV in the UK, to show the tournament.

Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid are the two Spanish representatives at the tournament, amongst representatives from all six FIFA confederations.

The draw for the competition is due to be held tomorrow, the 5th of December when we will find out the groups for the tournament.

This agreement is a breath of fresh air for football fans, who are well-accustomed to paying over the odds to watch their teams play.

Although not everyone is a fan of this competition, as many clubs and players feel that it adds to the already over-saturated football calendar, and increases the workload and risk of injury to players.
