Real Madrid begin talks to sign Rodri | OneFootball

Real Madrid are reportedly in talks to sign World Cup-winning midfielder Rodri according to reports.

The Manchester City man was a key part of the Spanish squad that defeated Argentina in the final earlier this month where he was also awarded the Golden Ball as the best player of the tournament.

The 30-year-old, who has one year left on his City contract, has frequently been linked with a move to Madrid over the last few months but now talks have begun according to Fabrizio Romano.

The La Liga side's president Florentino Pérez has apparently given approval to try and sign the player to boost José Mourinho's side with an initial price of around €50 million reported.

Last season, former Villarreal and Atlético de Madrid man Rodri played 33 times for City in all competitions, scoring twice.
