Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has fired something of a warning shot to the rest of Europe’s top clubs, regarding this season’s Champions League.
Real, of course, are fresh off another concerning defeat on the continent on Wednesday night.
After making the trip to Anfield for a meeting with Liverpool, an injury-hit Blancos squad were ultimately put to the sword by two goals to nil.
As much means that the Spanish champions now boast a record of two wins and three defeats from their five Champions League fixtures across the season to date.
This leaves them teetering in a lowly 24th in the competition’s standings.
Safe to say, however, that one individual who is not yet ready to hit the panic button in Spain’s capital comes in the form of Carlo Ancelotti.
Speaking to El Larguero, in quotes sourced by Fabrizio Romano, late this week, Real Madrid’s headmaster was adamant that:
”Real Madrid will be in Champions League final, in Munich. We will be there.”
