Although Real Madrid got a memorable victory against Borussia Dortmund in their last UEFA Champions League match, the hours following that game have not been easy for the Merengues.

Two important players, Rodrygo Goes and Thibaut Courtois were injured in that game, the former suffering a tear in the hamstring of the right leg and the latter suffering an injury to the adductor muscle of the left leg.

These two physical issues have been particularly painful as Real Madrid have a crucial game coming this weekend, the El Clasico. Barcelona and Real Madrid are only three points apart in the league table, and this match can have significant implications for the league campaigns of both teams.

But amidst all this bad news, there was also a piece of good news for Ancelotti as MARCA reports that Brahim Diaz has returned to group training, and the Moroccan is now working to be available for the match against Barcelona.

The forward completed part of the last training session with the rest of his teammates, and if there are no setbacks, he is expected to be available for El Clasico.

The team has already started training for this crunch game, and Brahim did one part of the session alone and another with the group, in which he touched the ball and exercised normally with his teammates.

Other players, who had started the game against Dortmund, undertook recovery work on the pitch and in the facilities. The rest of the players carried out physical work under Antonio Pintus. Afterwards, they worked on possession and tactical exercises and also played some games on smaller pitches, in which Brahim also participated.

Thus, Brahim’s return will be a boost for Real Madrid, and this be particularly welcome news for Ancelotti, who has had to face the absence of two other key players against Barcelona.
