Real Madrid close in on Yan Diomande as PSG withdraw from race  | OneFootball

Real Madrid are expected to reach an agreement to sign Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig, according to The Athletic. 

Diomande previously indicated a preference to join Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer, but they have reportedly withdrawn from negotiations. 

PSG are unwilling to meet Leipzig’s enormous valuation or the player’s salary demands. 

Madrid are in the market for an elite forward, with Franco Mastantuono enduring a difficult debut season and Brahim Diaz looking to jump ship in search of playing time. 

They have submitted a second offer worth €120 million for Diomande after their initial bid was turned down by Leipzig. 

The La Liga club’s latest proposal is also expected to be rejected, but there is confidence on all sides that a deal will be agreed soon. 

Diomande has emerged as one of the best young forwards in the world after joining Leipzig in 2025. 

He bagged 13 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions last season. 

The 19-year-old also represented Ivory Coast at the summer’s World Cup, starting all four matches. 

The forward is highly rated for his blistering pace, dribbling skills and versatility across the frontline. 

His excellent development has caught the eye of Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal. 

However, Madrid are determined to sign him before the end of the transfer window.
